Fathers Day is in progress here (no “mission accomplished” banner) and so far we have:
1) slept in till almost 8:00
2) had breakfast at a local diner that I love; pecan belgian waffles for me, pancakes for my bride, ham and cheese omelette for my oldest son who usually won’t eat, lots of coffee
3) went to Sam’s Club. I don’t want to know how much it was. It surely wasn’t under $100. Did you know you can buy a 30 pack of applesauce? (two flavors).
4) cooked lunch on the grill; brats and chicken. Made potato salad and bbq beans to go with it, washed down with beer. My middle son ate nothing but pickle relish (but he at least put it on a plate and used a fork)
5) played “Shrek 2” on Playstation, after I failed one point my six year old took the controls and passed the same checkpoint easily. Quote: “I’m gooder than you.”
6) Mom and middle kid taking a nap, baby is helping me type (thanks for the backspace key!), a dog ate a $70 pair of shoes while we were at Sam’s and I just found it.
HFD, everyone (even if you aren’t a dad, I hope you’re having a good day). I’m off to find a football (soccer) game to watch.
