Scary stuff

As I have said, I’ve been running and walking and in general trying not to be a slob anymore. It’s going pretty good, I guess. Well, my wife has started walking many mornings, for close to an hour. This is doing her a world of good, too (but she doesn’t like me to talk about it much. Let’s just say she’s shrinking, but not as fast as she’d like)

Anyway, she has some chafing issues. A little too much skin getting rubbed by her shorts or tops.

I told her to try some bodyglide, which I haven’t needed (I have tough, sandpaper-like skin), but have heard great things about from various runners.

She is absolutely convinced it must be something dirty since I know anything about it. I keep saying, no, it isn’t like fruit flavored motion lotion. (and I just had a movie idea! “Motion-Lotion on a Plane.”) This really is made for athletes. She isn’t convinced.

I imagine she is wearing a blonde wig and sunglasses to the store, afraid somebody will see her purchase a – gasp – personal item. I offered to go get her some, but I think she’s afraid of what I might bring home 😉

  1. You know – if she wore ‘bike shorts’ – the form-fitting kind – under her regular walking shorts, that might help.

    (Butt Butter – *smirk*)

  2. Ummm… if she’s afraid of the bodyglide, regular baby powder or Gold Bond powder works pretty well, too. Just sayin’.

  3. DUDE…
You KNOW I could get a few sample packs of that for her… privately email me if you’re interested and I’ll have ‘da boss’ send a few your way.

That way you guys don’t waste money on something she’s not sure if she wants to use.

  4. BodyGlide rocks. I’m actually out of mine right now, so I’ve had to do the bike short thing. So awesome that she’s picking up the healthy living thing, too.

And, women don’t lose weight as fast as men. that sucks, but I’ve already talked about that and how I have to hate you for it. So tell her just to hang tight and it will happen.
