Absence makes the heart go yonder

Sorry I haven’t been around, we’ve been helping a friend mooove.

(the extra ‘o’s because of the eleventy hundred cows we saw while driving through the brilliant Central Texas Sunshine)

I should probably not say much about the move, because:

  1. It was family
  2. The kind of family that doesn’t, you know, pack things before moving
  3. I’ve found somebody that has more crap than we do.
  4. WAY more.
  5. There were lots of other super helpful people helping and I can’t do them justice in blog form
  6. It was hot.
  7. It also rained. A lot. But after we finished.
  8. It wasn’t that bad.
  9. It wasn’t that good.
  10. I got to drive a Big Ass Yellow Truck.
  11. It’s hard to not smile at least once while driving a BAYT.
  12. Also? There was barbecue. Made by people drinking beer under a tent in the driving rain. And that kind of barbecue is the bestest, especially after you are finished moving.
  13. Now, it is time for wine. And less whine.

Hope everybody had a fantastic day. (yes, you too, Mir. Hope you crossed a few things off your list 😉

  1. I’m past the point of helping others move. That was college crap…when we had a Big A$$ Truck (it was black – go figure). We still have a truck, but it’s MUCH smaller. And silver.
Now, I’d rather PAY someone to move me. You need money, my friend?

  2. What a great guy you are for helping in the move. My brother always made it perfectly clear he didn’t do such a thing. See, just because it’s family doesn’t mean it’s a given. I’m sure you are glad it’s OVER.
