Who?

The Who Tour Dates: The Who unveils North American tour plans; liveDaily
“Pete and I are really excited to be returning to the US with some brand new music to play,” Daltrey added. “We’ll also be digging out some rarities that we’ve not played for a long time. We’re looking forward to reconnecting with our American fans and hopefully seeing some new ones coming along too.”

Some of our younger readers may remember The Who from the Hummer commercials, or perhaps remember the stink (at least around here) when Clearchannel took out “who the fuck are you” and “who the hell are you” and just shortened the song altogether.

Ah, yes, memories.

Even I’m not that old (I heard you snickering, over there on the side) and I saw them live, back before band members started dying off.   I also remember parking with my now-wife, having just about worn out a couple of Who tapes while we had wild monkey sex in the back of my Datsun.  Okay, you can snicker this time, we were both a lot smaller back then.  And apparently more flexible.

Of course, I won’t be able to see them (can’t afford $100 concert tickets right now, no matter Who is coming)

  1. OK, you get a pass on listening to the WHO, but when you were (like me) driving (and thus still call it) Datsun instead of Nissan… well my friend… you are a geezer 😉
