The power of marketing

My son, who is eight I might add, is lobbying hard for an Ipod.

HARD.

People, he is willing to give up any and all treats for one whole year if it’ll net him an Ipod.  This is a kid who has a hard time waiting for the weekend so that he can go to the dollar store and pick out something.

So, of course, I ask him why he wants an Ipod.  Why not just an MP3 player?

“Well, an Ipod has really cool accessories and stuff that you can add to it.”

See, he wants accessories.  OK, then.

  1. Noah asked for an ipod for his 10th birthday and I had to use my veto power. He will get one for his birthday next year when he is about to enter middle school.

  2. They grow up much faster then we did. Ouch!

The new skin for your blog is nice. I likey!

Did you have a good day for your anniversary?

  3. I bet you didn’t know, but this entry is hit by about ten spam comments a day. Spam Karma catches them all, but it’s kinda funny. I’m thinking of closing the comments, but what fun is that?
