Ipod

Several companies have banded together to take down Apple’s iPod. Microsoft will be allying with Toshiba, Victor, NTT DoCoMo and five other companies to release music playing services and players that will challenge the iPod. Microsoft will be developing the software while Toshiba and Victor develop the players, and DoCoMo will add mobile phone functionality to this system.

My son, who is eight I might add, is lobbying hard for an Ipod.

HARD.

People, he is willing to give up any and all treats for one whole year if it’ll net him an Ipod.  This is a kid who has a hard time waiting for the weekend so that he can go to the dollar store and pick out something.

So, of course, I ask him why he wants an Ipod.  Why not just an MP3 player?

“Well, an Ipod has really cool accessories and stuff that you can add to it.”

See, he wants accessories.  OK, then.

Rachel Cambra purchased a new high-tech iPod for her daughter as a gift this week.

When she opened the sealed box, the device was missing and in its place was a piece of raw meat, the report said.

Cambra said the box was sealed and that it didn’t appear to have been tampered with when she brought it home from the Honolulu Wal-Mart where she works.
