We watched Lilo and Stitch again the other night. I just love this movie. I’ve had discussions with other parents, who felt the subject matter was a bit much for a kids movie.
‘They’re trying to take her away!’ ‘I don’t like the social worker’ etc. That’s part of our lives, part of our existence, and it resonates with me instead. Moving a child from a home should never be taken lightly. Nani going to great lengths to try and keep them together, Lilo just doing what she feels is right (and seemingly oblivious to how her actions affect Nani), Stich just being a goofball but with a heart.

This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It’s little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good.
I always cry at that part.
