To push depresso-post out of the way, here are a few random observations from this weekend:
- Dora on Telemundo does not try and teach the kids English.
- Dora on Telemundo only speaks spanish, but not even in Dora’s voice
- My four year old will insist repeatedly that you “change her voice back” in spite of your explanation that he is watching Dora on Telemundo
- This gets old
- But the “We did it” song actually sounds pretty good in spanish.
- It’s raining, again.
- Our children aren’t the only ones who act up in church.
- we were in the back, which is the “crying room” I guess, windows let you see and PA lets you hear but you don’t disturb the folks who are inside
- I laughed when somebody else was chasing their running child across the room during a solemn moment in mass.
- I am going to hell.
- I rented a video game for my seven year old.
- Seven year olds are gifted at video games, but not complicated ones
- Star Trek Elite whatever is too complicated and he keeps asking for me to help.
- I am always asked to referee between the kids. Now it is Star Trek vs. Sponge Bob. Play a video game or watch a movie?
- Thanks everyone for their support in my Depressopost, sometimes I just kinda do that. I’m getting back to denial quickly so things should be back to normal soon.
- I rented “Forgotten” and “The Terminal,” in addition to Spongebob, so I may have more movies to add to my list. Now I need to get a bottle of wine and a pint of Ben and Jerry’s and my evening will be perfect. But I have to wait till the kids go to bed, first (they’ll try and sneak into the room to watch “scary movies” if they aren’t actually asleep before I push play.”
- Don’t you hate bullet lists that substitute for actual blog entries? Me too.
