Like sprite, but not as fizzy

We had a great time, for the most part. We stayed in a condo; it had two bedrooms and for the most part my wife and I got a bed all to ourselves! Not that we utilized the bed for anything other than sleep. Something about doing nothing that just wears my ass out.

The place we stayed had like six pools. I personally swam in three of them, plus a hot tub. Plus you walk down the boardwalk and you are on the beach. Opposite from the beach was a tennis court (yes, we went and played, I hope to be seeded for next years Wimbledon. Something like the millionth seed, I suppose). There was a golf course, but that’s something I can’t do unless there is alcohol and windmills involved.

The sand here is sugary white, and makes great castles. Also, the beach drops off quickly into the gulf, so there is a nice set of breakers (most days) that work great with boogie boards.

Nobody got sunburned. A little pink, maybe, once in a while, but no burns.

We grilled one day and cooked enough meat to last us all week, augmented by hot dogs, ice cream, and PBJ’s.

We saw Transformers on the day it came out, something for which I am still paying. Because the child that gets exactly what he wants, when he wants it? Just wants more. Damn it.

Barney is on, again, now that we are back in the land of Tivo, and he’s turning my brain to mush.

(Oh, yeah, the Sprite thing. Remember their ads about ‘Crisp and Clean, no Caffeine?’ That was me. No coffee the entire time at the beach. Had some during the drive each way, but moderate amounts)
