Sorry, I’ve got to run…

The sun came out today, for the first time in over a week. How the hell do you people do this? I mean, in Alaska or Seattle or wherever. Doesn’t the lack of sun cause you problems? I mean, I’m going nuts (and that was after just a couple of days) and need my sunshine fix.

Well, it came out today, like I said, so I went for a run. Mid 50’s outside, too many cars, but I didn’t care. Five miles, making it almost a twelve mile week. Not bad since I did not even go outside before Thursday.

I just watched New Orleans get spanked, lucky for me that’s the last time I have to listen to Joe Buck for awhile.

  1. What sun? I don’t notice too much but after a string of sunny days, I actually appreciate a cloudy one. Mostly because I’m bad about forgetting my sunglasses. Congrats on the 5 miles!

  2. 5 miles yesterday? Excellent!

One of the weird things about living here is that even when it’s way too cold to go outside, there’s a good chance the sun is bright and shiny. Like today, for example.

The lack of sun/constant rain for a month or so at a time was the toughest part of living in northern CA. I’ve heard those OTT task lights help a little, and it’s cheaper than a light box.

  3. I have been going a little crazy with all the darkness, but now we have snow and things are better. Except for running – it’s hard to run in the snow. =|
