Baby steps

So, I bought a heart rate monitor!  Isn’t that great?

(uh, sure, is what you should be saying now)

So I went for a walk with it.  With the dogs.  We didn’t dawdle, but we didn’t run either.  I was pretty impressed, I averaged 125 bpm (“beats per minute,” I had to look that up) and was quite excited.

Then I started looking, and for somebody my age, etc, I should be averaging 140 bmp at least, just to burn some fat (which is really all I need to be doing right now).  So next time I’ll leave the dogs here and see what I can do by running.  Some.
