This is the most asinine thing I’ve heard this morning. And that’s saying something:
New Law for Cold & Allergy Medicine in Texas: “The law requires pharmacies to keep items containing pseudoephedrine behind pharmacy counters. Buyers must provide identification. Pharmacies must keep a record of sales of products containing pseudoephedrine and ephedrine for two years.”
So I have to show ID to buy sudafed. I have a house full of kids who get colds and allergies. Am I going to have a little file in the capitol saying I buy too much sudafed?
News flash for our State Reps: alcohol kills and maims and destroys much more than methamphetamines do. Let’s keep all beer, wine, and liquor behind the counter, and keep everyone’s name for two years after they buy the stuff.
fireworks contain gunpowder which can be used to make bombs. Let’s card everyone who buys fireworks and report their names for two years.
Stupid, stupid use of state resources.
(end of rant)
