Weekends were made for changing plans

Okay, I’ve hardly blogged this weekend. Hardly been on line. Sent an e-mail or two, paid some bills, but that’s it.

Let me explain. No, there’s too much. Let me sum up:

  • Friday night the kids voted to NOT go to Gymnastics. So we stayed home and watched “Flight of the Phoenix.” My seven year old: “Now HE’S gonna die next. No, he’s gonna die. They’re all gonna die.”
  • Friday night the cat did not come home for dinner. In fourteen months, that cat has never missed a meal, especially not one as important as dinner.
  • I found the cat in the yard first thing Saturday morning, alive but obviously not well.
  • We took the cat to the vet and they still have him (it’s sunday night as I write this), we suspect he was hit by a car and had internal injuries, but it’s hard to say since he won’t tell us what’s wrong.
  • Also Saturday we mowed the yard. That’s worth an entry all by itself.
  • Saturday night we dropped the kids at a sitter’s and went to dinner. It was nice. It was quiet. It was weird.
  • Today we went to the park. It was warm (nearly 80, I guess) and the kids were going stir crazy. Also today we saw “The Pacifier,” which should be another entry all by itself.
  • I’m having trouble blogging pictures so more to come.
  • Guess that’s it. Like I told a dear friend, don’t hate me cuz I got tall weeds instead of snow.
