Apparently you are supposed to post something and then sit back and wait for witty comments (or, in my case, the sound of crickets chirping)
Er, okay. Let’s see. Here’s my day so far:
Get up while it’s raining outside.
Take the baby to the sitter’s while it’s raining outside.
Go to client’s place, in the rain.
Work for six hours and still get nothing accomplished.
Go to lunch. Rain has stopped.
Log into blog and see that the nothing accomplished is apparently spreading to other areas of your life.
Recall that the song “Crazy on You” was playing on the radio while you drove back to the office from the client.
Sadly acknowledge that this song no longer even vaguely describes your life, as if it ever did.
Eat cold Chick-fil-A while making blog posts about nothingness.
Hope you can remember to hit “publish” before the nothingness takes over completely.
If we still have time, we might still get by
Every time I think about it, I wanna cry
With bombs and the devil, and the kids keep comin’
No way to breathe easy, no time to be youngBut I tell myself that I was doin’ all right
There’s nothin’ left to do tonight
But to go crazy on you
