Working toward the weekend

I mentioned yesterday that there is a concert Friday night that I’d like to see but we don’t have a sitter (I called and the sitter is busy)

Our Friday Night options are:

  • Take two oldest to gymnastics, keep the baby home; gymnastics runs till after 11:00 PM.
  • Take all of them to high school homecoming game (don’t know if any tickets are left, even if there are we won’t find a seat and will have to stand, the baby may not fall for it)
  • One parent takes two boys to HS homecoming, other parent keeps baby home (since baby bedtime is roughly kickoff time)
  • Soccer game at the university
  • Charlie Robison concert at one club
  • Jack Ingram concert at another club(concerts require either a sitter or one adult to stay home with the kids while other adult goes alone, not too cool)
  • Jack and Charlie are friends and you can count on them going to each other’s shows and performing so it’s hard to go wrong. But the kids? Don’t like loud music so much.
  • Forget all that and stay home and watch a movie or something

I’m guessing we’ll wind up with the last option… Oh yeah, 8:00 AM soccer on Saturday morning, so maybe us old folks shouldn’t be staying up too late…
