Things are better off than I had feared

Why is it that Jimmy Buffett already has words to describe just about everything?

I guess it all blew up in Missoula
There just was no other way
After months of goin’ crazy, there was nothin’ left to say
But when the dust had finally settled
And the air had quickly cleared
Whoa, things were better off than I had feared

lets see:

My wife seems not very pissed at me. I guess last night it was the stress. We had a pleasant-ish morning (as well as can be expected rustling three kids and two adults out the door) and have traded several e-mails about kids. Which brings us to…

My son does NOT have a week of in-school suspension like he told us last night. I thought that a bit harsh and thought it was setting him up for more failure – just sitting down is an exercise in self control, if he has to sit in an office all day it would drive him nuts. He will never be a cubicle rat like me! After talking with the Asst. Principal I found that he is required to eat his lunch in the office instead of the cafeteria and he’s going to miss recess; both for five days. That’s still harsh but it’s doable, even for him.

My ribs, they hurt. Laying down, sitting up, driving, picking up children – agony. Luckily we don’t play again until Monday but this is gonna throw off my exercise schedule, dammit.

Speaking of doable (number 18, I really didn’t think anyone would still be reading at that point), the prospect for intimate relations is better but the odds of winning Texas Lotto are still much higher. I’m buying tickets at lunch.
