Looooser!

After all the drama of gaining weight three days in a row late last week, as of my weigh-in this morning I’ve lost a pound in the past seven days.

A pound!  That’s four sticks of butter!  Four all-beef patties (before cooking)!  .0037 of my total weight!

So yes, I’m a little excited.  Enough so that I am going to celebrate by having a glass of water.  Maybe two!  I know how to partay.

Somebody I see all the time asked me (out of the blue) today: “How much weight have you lost?”

I was so thrilled that somebody noticed I might have eaten her just a little bit.

If I had only four words to sum up the difference between walk/running at night versus doing it in the morning.

Yes, I made it out of bed by 6:30 to exercise.  The idea is to try and get back to a more or less “normal” sleep pattern, since walking at 11:00 at night tends to keep me awake until 1-ish.  But for some reason my boss still expects me to be at work on time, and my kids still like to be fed and dressed in the morning, and my wife can’t do it alone.

On the weight front, I’m apparently “gaining muscle.”  Yeah, that’s the ticket.
