One of the best movies, ever.
Feed me, Seymore. Feed me all night long.
I’m not feeling musical this morning, necessarily. This may not apply to you, but just in case, I wanted to give y’all a heads up – it seems that Feedburner is going away. Feedburner is the service that I send my RSS feeds through when I post anything. It’s all automatic, I signed up for them years ago and haven’t looked at it since. I do not advertise here (monetize, whatever the term is), it’s just a convenience. I don’t gain anything if you subscribe or lose anything if you leave, it’s just another way to access info.
Back when I started blogging the best way to keep up with my favorite blogs was through a feed reader. There are several, such as the one included in my browser Opera, and Google Reader (also going away, because Google doesn’t give a flying fuck about bloggers. Google owns feedburner now). I’ve heard good things about Feedly and I will probably try them since it should be able to import the hundreds of feeds I have saved on Google reader. Okay, this is way too much info.
Short summary: If you want to subscribe by email I put a link over there on the right –>
After I remove feedburner you should hopefully still be able to get my RSS feeds (also on the right) but when I remove Feedburner from the middle of the stream you will probably have to re-subscribe. I didn’t want to just pull the plug without saying something first; since I post so sporadically most would think the lack of an entry on their feed is just me being quiet again.
That could happen, too. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for how I can improve.
I’ve been using Feedly since Google announced the ending of Google Reader. I like it.
Thanks! I’m trying out feedly; trying to get used to the differences. It’s pretty cool and very easy to switch over 😀
