It was a night at the elementary school to eat pizza and play games. Only one of our kids still goes to the school, but her big brother also wanted to go so he could see his former teachers, and both kids wanted me along, too.
We’re about to walk out of the house and my son says “You’re going, too?” I answered yes.
“It’s almost like we’re a family!”
He doesn’t pull any punches.
Ouch. Kids are so brutally honest. But glad to know he feels like he can say that stuff, ya know?
🙂
Yes, it’s a good thing. He should say even more, he keeps a lot of it bottled up and then takes it out on his mom when I’m not around.
Ah, my girl did that for awhile….took a lot out on me, but I know she was confused and so young. She still doesn’t let her dad know when she’s upset though.
