I’m having one of those times where I’m sorta sick of my own company, and that’s when various blog ideas tend to jump to mind at inconvenient times (like 2 AM when I’m supposed to be asleep).
But, lucky you, out of the many ideas that are bouncing around in my feeble brain, begging for airtime, you get to hear about my shoes.
Yeah, shoes. You may want to skip this and go down a few entries and check some more 5 second movies. I don’t mind. Personally I would much rather get back to trying to figure out how to get to San Francisco by next week to see this, because if you know anything about me you know I would practically kill to see an Edgar Wright extravaganza like this.
Where was I?
Oh yeah, shoes. I own a few. Like five pair. There are dress shoes that I haven’t worn regulary in almost 20 years, since we went to the whole ‘more casual’ dress code. They still look nice with a suit, which, um, I don’t think I have one anymore. If I do it may not fit, as I have changed sizes a few times since the last time I bought a suit (for a funeral, it was. The suit, not the size changes).
I have a pair of running shoes that cost well over $100 (New Balance some number or other) that I don’t wear because now I run barefoot.
I have a pair of everyday shoes, which are also New Balance, they fit and were cheap; a lot cheaper than their running shoes.
I have my Sanuk sidewalk surfers, because I like to pretend I’m some kinda cool hippie surfer dude. Not really, they are just extremely comfortable and I can get away with wearing them at work. These are my actual everyday shoes.
I have a pair of flip-flops I bought for $3 to wear to the pool.
And I have a pair of Vivo Barefoot shoes that I bought on sale (50% off? More?) a long time ago, with the idea that they look nice enough to be everyday shoes, but my Sanuks were so comfy I never did really wear them.
Today, since I was feeling sick of myself (see way up above), I wore them to work.
There you have it, probably my most boring blog post evar.

Okay, so, like, you own more shoes than I do and that’s just all sorts of wrong, DAMMIT!!!
I do not see how that is possible!
