The shortage of child psychiatrists in America is at crisis levels? (google it if you are curious). If your child does not need one of these wonderful people, count yourself blessed. Some of us aren’t so fortunate.

I don’t want to bitch too much, I know I should probably move to a big city to be near more options, but yeah, we’re hurting here; having lost the doctor we’ve been seeing for many years. He’s leaving town and will not be replaced in the foreseeable future, and all of his patients are now competing for the too-few slots elsewhere.

No, this is nothing new (they saw it coming more than 20 years ago), but paying for wars is more important than health care, obviously. You could fill the schools today and my kids will all be adults before anyone graduates.

It sucks, but this is what we signed up for, we’ll figure something out.
