As part of my oh, gee, wouldn’t it be swell to not be dead of a heart attack at 50 plan, I’ve been walking. Mostly in the evenings, with my dogs, sometimes with a kid. It’s like a time out, a break from twitter, a little something I’m doing just for me. Wow, it sounds pretty selfish when I put it like that. Whatever, I’m doing it for the dogs, too, and they are loving it.
So in September, I’ve walked 20 times for about 26 miles total. Not too bad. Sure, I used to cover that much in a week when I was running, but I gotta build back up (and work off some of that pasta and ice cream I seem to have accumulated around the midsection).
Ha ha! Yeah, that was funny when I was 12. But anyway, I didn’t use anyone’s shoes, my miles were all barefoot.
