Not saying anything nice

There’s an old saying, ‘if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything.’ So to borrow a phrase from an insurance commercial, I’m there.

One thing I’m looking forward to, probably too much, is a new movie that should be out in a couple weeks. I know there’s more than one, so here’s a hint:

It goes to 11.

Have a great day.

  1. The hubs thinks WTWTA is too much for our five yr old. I reminded him this is the same kid who likes to whisper, “Look out…he’s coming!” at random moments when we’re driving in the car at night. I think devilspawn can take it.

I was searching for a solution on my Fisher & Paykel Washer and I noticed you had the exact same issue a couple of years ago. A code 104. Did you get it fix? If so, would you be so kind and tell me what fixed it?

    Thank you,

    Ed

  3. Hi Ed,

I’ve only fixed two problems with my washer, so I’m guessing it is the pump.

It quit emptying after the wash / rinse cycle, and just sat there beeping at me like a dog that needed a walk but couldn’t say the word. I ordered a replacement pump straight from the company http://www.fisherpaykel.com/ they were super nice and sent it out quick, and replacing it was simple – lay the washer back so you can look underneath, unplug the old pump, twist it so it pops loose, and reverse the process to install the new one.

The pumps do tend to whine a bit, even when they work fine.

The other problem I had was one of the suspension rods broke, the things that suspend the wash tub, so it went sideways and wouldn’t spin. At all. The fix for that was to call FP again and get the replacement piece, it took a few minutes and I think a screwdriver to swap that out, but it was pretty simple, too.

Lucky for me, nobody in town will work on my washer, otherwise I’d have spent hundreds of dollars in service calls to fix these simple things.

Let me know if you want more info…
