Built for the Road(kill) ahead

Well, Ford sure knows how to make people forget about their last dismal quarterly results.

This time, they lost even more money!

Ford Motor Co. announced today that it lost more than $12.7 billion last year, the biggest annual deficit in the company’s 103-year history.

At least they finally beat GM at something:

Today’s figure not only dwarfed that grim sum, but also surpassed the $10.6 billion loss rival General Motors Corp. reported for 2005.

(and in case you were wondering, 2006’s Ford loss was $42 for every man, woman, child in America. But they’re turning things around!)
