I was watching some teams shaking hands before a match the other day. This is different than how the 8 year olds do it here, we always say “good game” afterward.
I had a giggle thinking of the World Cup parents rushing out of their folding chairs after the game to “make a tunnel” for the teams to run through, while everyone yelled “wooo!” and the little siblings asked if they could have some snack, too.
I’m a hoot in my own mind, I tell ya…
Never ben to an eight year old’s soccer game. Heck – I’ve never been to ANY soccer game. But I imagine that I have been, and I’m laughing on the inside, I tell ya!
