Thanks so much for the link! I was raised in a similar household, where efforts were made to keep everything fair. My parents told me that fairness was Biblical. Have I got news for them!! I’ll tell you what I tell my daughters:
“FAIR went out of style back in the Garden of Eden. God told Adam and Eve that if they ate the Forbidden Fruit, they would surely die. Yet, God let them live, plus he gave them fashionable clothes! Was that fair? No. It was God’s job as a parent to show mercy. Now, do you want me to do what’s fair, or would you prefer mercy?”
I really like the idea of being able to pay a sibling to do your chores for you! Damn, that’s awesome and something I think hubby and I are going to have to talk about!
