Remember, the New Shoes?
The ones I was so excited about?
They finally arrived, Friday Night. Around dinnertime. That’s almost a blog post in itself, because when the doorbell rings, it’s kinda like when the Enterprise went to Red Alert. Everyone jumps.
(for you younguns, the Enterprise was a fictional space ship run by morons. Any time they got scared, they would start a Red Alert, which basically caused a lot of noise and running about but no real effective change in their strategic position. Think of it like Homeland Security back in the 60’s)
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, the shoes, they showed up. Finally. And guess what?
They are a little small. Not too too small, you can see in the picture that my feet fit fine, but when I walked more than say twenty yards, it was clear my toes were getting crunched (on my right foot only, in case you’re keeping notes). So they are this very moment on yet another UPS truck, heading back to their little home, to be exchanged for the same kind of shoes but 1/2 size larger.
This entire entry can be summed up by: shoes too tight, being exchanged. But what’s the fun in that?
