I received a box today from Freddy and Eddy, probably the coolest smut shop I’ve dealt with. Inside they sent me a postcard with a personal greeting and there were some cool freebies. Well, along with something shiny I bought for us to play with next time we get a date night.
Ahem.
Anyway, don’t forget tomorrow is the big benefit sale over at Comstock. As I said yesterday, for one day they are donating the full purchase price to hurricane relief, not just the profits or the proceeds or whatever, but the $ amount of the sale. And their ISP will match them dollar for dollar for whatever they make. So here’s Tony’s words:
Here’s how it’s going to work:
The Hurricane Relief/Red Cross benefit is going to run tomorrow, Wednesday September 14th at 12:00AM EDT till September 15th 3:00AM EDT.
In plain English, that’s all of Wednesday, from midnight on the East Coast ’til the next midnight on the West Coast — 27 hours total.
Comstock Films will donate the purchase price, not the profits or a portion of the profits, but the full purchase price on all DVD orders ($24.95) and DVD pre-orders ($12.95) made during this time to the American Red Cross. Our ISP is offering to match donations to the Red Cross dollar for dollar, so we will be using their “portal” to maximize the contribution. (Pre-orders made during this fund raising event are non-refundable.)
What that means is that if you buy a copy of “Xana and Dax” for $24.95, nearly $50 dollars will be donated to the Red Cross. If you pre-order a couple of our upcoming titles, more than $50 will be contributed to hurricane relief.
So think about it. Check out the previews. Get a gift for a friend, surely you know somebody who might enjoy it.
Visit Tony’s blog if you wanna know more about what makes him click. I have no affiliation with Tony other than being a happy customer and having corresponded a little by e-mail over the last several months about various things. But he’s good people. And this is a good deal for everyone.
Speaking of Noble Causes:
Hey! Hello in there! Hey, what’s so important? What’s you got here that’s worth living for?
Truuuuee loooove.
True love, you heard him, you could not ask for a more noble cause that that.
Yes, sonny, true love is the greatest thing in the world. Except for a nice M.L.T. – mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich – when the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato’s ripe…phtphtpht…they’re so perky, I love that. But that’s not what he said, he distinctly said “to blaaave”, and as we all know to blave means “to bluff”. Huh? So you were probably playing cards and he cheated.
Now I’m gonna go watch Marie and Jack and dream of shiny things…
