We’re painting the boy’s room, and closet. After wrestling with the wood supports for the old shelves in the closet (we’re replacing the old plank of wood with elfa style) I sat down in the office to take a break.
My wife came in and saw me reading “The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work” (and, why is it always seven principles, not eight or nine? Is that the same logic that always gives us ‘top 10 lists’?) and she says “Number 1: Don’t work in the closet with a hammer to remove old wood supports.”
Maybe you had to be there.
I’d take pictures, but, um, no.
I’ve only been on three errands and it isn’t even noon yet (barely). The kids are still civil, but we’re sending in a hurricane hunter in another hour to see if the pressure is dropping or rising near the eye. This is SO much better than sleeping in, or going to see a movie, or working in the yard…
