Back at work

We’re back from vacation. I’ll try and fill in the details later, but for now:

  1. It wasn’t long enough.
  2. It was too long.
  3. My wife seems happy. That’s imperative.
  4. The first day of school can cause headaches.
  5. I really can’t stand NBC’s Olympic coverage.
  6. I feel bad that Charley hit Florida while we had splendid weather at our beach.
  7. I have a lot of work to do.

More later… carry on.

China Quake vs Same Sex Marriage

Yahoo! News – China Quake Cracks Reservoirs, 47,000 People in Danger : “The quake, measuring 5.6 on the open-ended Richter scale, rocked the county of Ludian in Yunnan province Tuesday, collapsing more than 18,000 houses and damaging 45,000 others. Relief workers were rushing tents, medicine and food to the disaster area, Xinhua said.”

Meanwhile over in CNN-Land, you can read about California Same Sex Marriages or some guy looking for a liver. Close your eyes for a moment and picture 18,000 houses that just aren’t there anymore. Picture living downstream from a huge reservoir that just might not hold. Fun stuff, eh?
