Well, it’s like this.
I have a blog, over on blogger. Â And I liked it a lot. Â I fed it and kept it warm (not very clean, though) and have over two years and 2,000 posts invested in it.
Then I heard about wordpress, and bought a domain name (rented, actually) and paid for some server space and here I am.
I thought: should I start clean, a whole new blog, or should I bring my old messages over? (not sure how long Blogger keeps things around once you quit using them). Â So I chose to “import posts” from blogger. Â It’s an option on WordPress, really.
But apparently there is something up with my blog, and it’s taking for. ev. er. to import the posts. Â So I’ll work on it a bit at a time, but until I get it done and put my old blog back up in readable fashion (it won’t be pretty, but it will be readable) I don’t really feel like fixing up the New Blog. (I may have found a fix, or a partial one, we’re up to October 04 now!) Â The old blog was such a hit with Google that I hate to just abandon it.And now, it’s all here! Â And there was much rejoicing.
Any questions?
May 15: I now have a Flickr gallery in the sidebar (testing it to see if I like it), added a statcounter (invisible), found a half dozen comments stuck in a spam filter (oops). Â So much to see!
I don’t really care who you used to be.
I like you now.I mean, I like to read about your current issues. I like reading about the things that you deal with everyday, because it makes me feel like there’s someone else dealing with the same stuff. That’s why I read the other blogs as well.
