We recently purchased some swim goggles. While we haven’t been swimming any more this summer than previous summers, they seem to be using about triple the chemicals in the water than they used to. It could be related to some nasty bugs that got loose one year at one of the pools, or maybe my eyes are getting old, but still. Some days after just minutes splashing around my eyes sting.
Anyway, googles me bought.
They are pretty cool, because I bought the kind with the diopter so they stand in handily for my glasses. So now I can see and swim at the same time. Much better than wearing glasses and worrying they might fall off or get broken.
I’d show you a picture, but like I said, the camera cord is missing (I refuse to say it “went missing” because shit, it didn’t do anything by itself, it’s an inanimate object, which I have misplaced). So here’s a picture that looks a lot like me wearing the goggles on my head, except I’m much older, fatter, and hairier, and not nearly as French.
The minor downside to having prescription goggles is that now I can see all the “stuff” in the water. I keep my mouth closed. Tight.
I always want to type “google” instead of “goggles”. And hey, have a new website! http://www.septemberandeverythingafter.com
