My son passed all parts of the Texas std. tests. So he gets to be a
fifth grader, for reals!

don’t get me started on the TAKS. total waste of time for the students, who learn nothing more than how to take the test. Even my 13 yo can see straight through them, but then again, he’s always been too smart for his own good. But, you gotta play the game, whether you like or not.

The first time I read the ‘std.’ part…I just STD. and I was like, um..that’s good, I guess. Then I saw the 5th grade part, and realized it was short for standard. haha. *slaps self in forehead*
