I’ve been reading about and thinking about buddhism and meditation and lots of things along those lines. I’ve read some great articles in the past couple of weeks.
There are plenty of “whys” that go with this, but that’ll wait for another time. I want to tell you about my first try at meditation.
I’m sitting there, in a quiet room, focused on my breathing. Trying to empty my mind of other things (and of course there are PLENTY of other things).
After what seemed like an eternity, I had to stop. I looked at the clock.
It had been six. minutes.

I cannot get SIX minutes of quiet in my house, even when the beasties are sleeping. I envy your six minutes, B. ;)

Actually, six minutes on your first try is VERY GOOD! You’re moving faster than you think, grasshopper.
