‹ Unconscious Mutterings, Week 217 •
So I tried a fast run today, a “tempo” run.
Um, yeah. Fast for me is still not so fast. But I ran four miles in 43 minutes, so that’s still faster than the last time I ran four miles.
And then afterward I hopped on the scale and I weigh more than I have since the first week of March. Oops. Another slice of birthday cake, anyone?

Good job! It’s hard work, and my weight would fluctuate several times a week depending on my workout, water intake, etc. It’s muscle.

Good for you! I love reading about your running program, I just wish I could get my ass out there as well. Must start running again, must start running again…

You’re getting your body ‘programmed’ to run in that fashion on a regular basis. Soon, your body will be burning off the pounds at a consistent rate…even if you happen to *GASP* skip a day…

You ran less then 11 miles a minute! That is a *huge* accomplishment! I’m still happy when I get to 12:30 ;)
