We were born before the wind

Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was won
as we sailed into the mystic

Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly
into the mystic

And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
And when that fog horn blows I want to hear it
I don’t have to fear it

I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Then magnificently we will float
into the mystic

And when that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home
And when thst fog horn whistle blows I got to hear it
I don’t have to fear it

I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will float
into the mystic

Come on girl…

  1. one of my favorites from him, and there are many.

the only thing disappointing about seeing his show back in the spring was that he played for only about an hour. but seriously, when he was done with Moondance, I looked at Hub and said, “OK we can go now. I’m done. That was perfect.” Little did I know!

  2. Hi everyone, probably I’m mistaken, but I just wanna know wheter this song is the song which was played in the Amrican Pie 3 (American Wedding) when the Jim and Michele were dancing (this scene is quite in the end of the movie). In case my question is out of topic, please forgive me, but I’ll be really happy if somebody send me some information about this song. (I will really appriciate if you write here the name of artist and name of the song – some link to buy or download it will be great).
    Thanks a lot in advance!

  3. Yes, it was in the movie, but done by the Wallflowers (I think). You can follow the link in the post to a google search for Van Morrison (who wrote the song).

The song name is “Into the Mystic.”
