Tonite, my son graduates from swim lessons. Â Well worth the $35 and two weeks of time. Â His water confidence has soared, he’s swimming using actual strokes (not dog paddling anymore) and is not afraid to play in water that is over his head.
Kinda neat.
Not just kinda neat…VERY neat. I’m looking forward to the day when both mine are comfortable in the water and I can actually relax at the beach instead of freaking out!
Later!
Congrats! water safety is money very well spent!!
That’s great!
One of the things I hate about my husband is he won’t get the kids swim lessons or even teach them on his own. Now that we have a boat, it scares me to death. They always wear their life jackets, but they need to know how to swim. I put my foot down & said no boat until they learn but like everything else, I get vetoed. If they don’t learn this summer, which I pray they do, I can do something more about it this fall, when I get my own job. Then I can save money & get them in the Y.
Congrats, that is great news. My daughter has really flourished in the water between last year and this. It is so nice to see and even better because now I don’t have to go in the pool with her. BIG PLUS!!!
I’ve still got a 2 year old, so it’ll be a while till we can just let them all swim. But it’s getting easier all the time.
Thanks, everyone.
Congratulations! That’s fantastic news.
I’m hoping that Big Girl can finish her 2-week class – I let her have a break today, with the understanding that we would go to the pool this weekend and practice.
Is your 2-year-old taking swimming too?
