Transitions

Today is a big day, here at Casa Bear.

Just about everyone is starting something new:

My oldest is starting a summer day camp that has LOTS of activities.  His brother is starting with a brand new babysitter – plenty of activities but a very small group of kids so a good ratio of adult to child (he needs that, trust me), my wife is teaching two sections of summer school starting today, and I’m embarking on a new project which should limit my time on here during the day (but not in the evening, heh).

How about y’all?  Big plans for June?

  1. Next week my baby-no-more is starting swimming lessons. We’ll see how that goes – all of our hopes are high for this.

  2. AHH! SUMMER!!! I’m looking into swimming lessons for the 5 year old, and I’m not sure if there’s anything for the 2 year old or not!

  3. Um, considering my kids go to school through June 15th, not much. We do have Girl Scout camp the week of the 24th-30th.

Glad your kids are enjoying their break!

  4. I figured out long ago that encouraging my kids to swim is opening a doorway to them leaving. Hell, I didn’t even encourage the youngest two to walk. The progression from crawling to walking to running to running-away-from-mommy-in-public-places whizzed by at lighting speed. Why teach them to swim when they are perfectly happy playing in the sprinkler? I’m just sayin’.
