“‘The vice president didn’t see him,’ she continued. ‘The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by god, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good.'”
I’ve noticed that in just a few hours CNN has changed it’s tune from “Cheney shot another hunter” to “Cheney fires shot that hits another hunter”
Seriously.
This PC shit is for the birds. I know it was an accident (at least I certainly hope so, if it wasn’t you can bet this guy isn’t going to donate to the next election), but c’mon. Cheney shot the man. End of story. He didn’t just lob some buckshot out and it was bouncing around the forest and this guy walked into it. Puleeze.
Update:
What the hell are they hiding?
McClellan said Cheney agreed that his friend Katharine Armstrong, who saw the incident, should be the one to tell the newspaper. CNN and other news organizations confirmed the report with the vice president’s office shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sunday
From the one-sentence description she (the ranch owner) gave of the accident, why the hell did it take so long to confirm it? And why is the person that was sitting in the car and may or may not have seen it the one to report it? And why the hell did they drive to the quail? Wouldn’t walking be a bit quieter? And did the lady that offers her land for hunting and been a lifelong hunter not have a dog or two to fetch the downed birds so the poor lawyer doesn’t have to risk his life? And who was the “third person?”
I’m guessing cover-up. Had to get our story straight, and practice it enough to stick with the party line. And still no word from the lawyer who is “doing fine” and “very stable” and “resting comfortably?” This secrecy shit is for the birds. Note to people we elected: if you just tell us what you are doing, we don’t have to guess.
Also, to all my questions? We the people will never get a straight answer. They’ll brush this aside as not important, along with all the rest (too much to write here).
And why are those two guys in dark suits standing on my porch?
