Otay, I’m a bit under the weather. I think it was something I ate. I’m
kinda hoping that’s it, since that means it will be over quicker. It
doesn’t help that they keep finding birds dead from West Nile in our
neighborhood, or that people keep talking about this Super Flu like it’s
the next Stephen King movie. Or that I’m a little bit hypochondriac.

Anyway, let’s talk costumes.

I KNOW your kids and/or yourself were the bestest EVER, no doubt about
it. But who was the runner up? What costumes did you see that just made
you laugh, or scream like a little girl, or whatever?

We saw lots in our ninety minutes that we were out and about. One that
was memorable was Lindsay Lohan. The girl (she looked to be about twenty)
was wearing a long sleeve denim shirt that was probably two sizes too
small, short ruffly skirt, long very straight red hair. She looked just
like Lindsay.

I was wondering just what she was supposed to be when it occurred to me
that she looked like Linday’s twin from about the time she made Herbie
Rides again.

Meanwhile, I saw a half dozen Snow Whites, and lots and LOTS of folks
wearing the Scream mask. My son went on for at least thirty minutes about
how you can tell if the mask was from Scream, Scream 2, or Scream 3, and
to my knowledge he’s never seen any of them. Fascinating.

So, did y’all see anything good?
