Damn, this traffic jam

I keep reading news reports about the traffic jams as folks flee Houston. We’re over 100 miles away and our highway was bumper to bumper this morning. They think 10,000 folks may seek shelter here (which seems like a small number, since houston has something like 5 million people if you consider the whole area). People are running out of gas on the highway. Some people are pushing their cars to save gas, since things are moving so slow.

And meanwhile, the storm is taking it’s own sweet time deciding when and where it will hit. Excruciatingly slow, yet too fast, all at once.

I hope everyone is ok.

And it just occurred to me that on Sunday and Monday they all get to try and go home; and we’ll have the same traffic jam in reverse.
