LISBON (AFP) – Portugal winger Simao Sabrosa says complying with coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s call for abstinence during the three-week European football finals which get underway this weekend will not be difficult.
“You can take it. It’s nothing out of this world,” the 24-year-old told Portuguese sports daily A Bola.
“If we had to stay here one month, which would be great as it would mean we are in the final, no one would get desperate. There would be no need for any sort of counselling.”
Sabrosa, who joined Lisbon-based Benfica from Barcelona in 2001, is married and has two children.
He’s married with kids. He’s probably used to going months without sex.
Heh.
(I know, I promised to lighten up…)
