$3 a gallon. Not a typo.

This guy may be a nut, or he may not:

Dallas oil tycoon Boone Pickens is predicting gasoline prices may top three dollars a gallon in the next few months. The 75-year-old oilman has been almost alone in his assertion that oil prices are likely to stay well over 30 dollars a barrel.

Now, he tells the Houston Chronicle that he foresees 50-dollar-a-barrel crude before we seen 30 dollars again. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, oil closed down at 40 dollars 53 cents a barrel.

I guess time will tell. He seems like the only one saying it will just keep going up. I’m going to go kiss my bicycle now.
