spam, spam, eggs, bacon and spam

Ya know a while back when I said I would quit purging my bulk folders, to see who would accumulate the most spam in thirty days, Yahoo or Gmail?

Well, as of today here’s where we are:

Yahoo bulk folder: 976
Gmail spam folder: 2,4282,441
other Gmail spam folder: 2,992 (this is the one I use for blogging)

Don’t know what that means. Probably, in the grand scheme of things, not much (&)

Friday fiction fans

I was going to tell you that I had the song “What Would Willie Do?” stuck in my head, all. morning. long. (you can ask my wife). Then, another song came on the radio that wiped poor Willie out, and I was going to write about it, but now? I can’t even remember what song it was! Something about wild monkey loving in the kitchen (or hallway) with somebody the singer is hoping to pick up at a bar, provided she sees things his particular way. Or some other touching theme like that.

Anyway, all that’s gone now. Partly because it’s 28 degrees outside (we like to think we’re tough in Texas, but my “tough” is better at dealing with searing heat than bitter cold). Partly because it’s FRIDAY. And partly because this comic made me laugh out loud. And remember, it was written back when Britney and Paris still wore underwear.

I’m hoping for a good weekend of cleaning house and perhaps some holiday shopping. What are y’all doing this weekend?

Old man. Winter.

In light of the current weather (described by my ticker as “dreary,”) – it’s 36 degrees with a 20 mph wind – I’m currently hatching plans for making some popcorn, opening a bottle of wine, and watching a movie (we have Da Vinci Code, which I haven’t seen, and also Slither, which my wife won’t watch, so if I want cuddle time I guess we’ll do Tom Hanks. Unless she wants to watch Red Shoes Diaries (the movie) or some wild monkey lovin’ by Paz and friends in Sex and Lucia.

Hmm.

Yum.
Meanwhile, I may need to find me a weenie warmer.

(and of course, my vote is for Vega)
