As healthy as it may be, I don’t see us getting a pole any time soon. Just sayin’ Pointing out that Brighton has one won’t do it.
(it isn’t helping that my daughter is fixated on beer at the moment)

Totally unrelated:
Journey to the Center of the Earth wasn’t that bad. I mean, for a 3d movie that had a crappy script and okay acting. The mountain guide was pretty hot, so she gave us something to look at when the dinosaurs got boring.
Bad thing? The theater charged us $2.00 for the “3D experience.” No, you can’t decline the $2.00 fee because, say, you paid $2.00 last time and managed to NOT lose your glasses. No, it’s part of the experience, the glasses are technically free. Now I have a lot more glasses.
The preview for “The Express” makes me cry every time. Probably because the pivotal bits happen in Texas. Or maybe I’m just a blubbering idiot. (odds are good on the latter).
Speaking of previews, since we had our fancy 3D glasses on, we saw one for “fly me to the moon.” And this, folks, was the first preview I’ve ever seen that literally made my head hurt. Something about their 3D made it feel like my eyes were being yanked out of my head. I don’t think I’ll be paying the $2.00 for this particular “3D experience.” The preview for Bolt actually looks a little more interesting in 3D than it did in 2D, so I guess that may not be so bad.
It’s been a very strange summer, as I’ve said before we’re working on a bathroom (still working on it, actually) so a bunch of our free time is used there.
There’s still lots of time, of course, and unfortunately I’ve spent a little too much of it saying “I’m tired,” or “I’m busy” or “just leave me alone.” I don’t think this is The Depression, per se, but it is probably an offshoot of it. And yeah, I’ve been tired – I haven’t been running, I haven’t been eating right, I haven’t been sleeping right, so it’s no wonder.
On the plus side, we’ve been swimming, to the movies many times, spent time together. The kids really are amazing in their ability to adapt, it’s me that has a hard time with it.
