I really do love our digital camera (a Canon A-80 if you’re curious) and really love that I can take a hundred pictures and download them to my PC and then pick out a couple that I like. It’s paid for – all I have to do is keep the batteries charged (which you have to do in many different cameras) but you don’t have to buy film and you don’t have to pay for processing and you don’t have to wait.
So why do I miss using my Nikon so much?

As awful as it was to bury my father in law, (well, not technically bury since he was cremated and is now in a beautiful urn (or “bucket” as my three year old calls it) but you get the idea) – as awful as it was, at least this didn’t happen.
