Calling Sky Captain…
Okay, I took the boys (age 4 and 6) to see this at the matinee today. It was wicked fun.
The good guys were good, the bad guys were bad, the robots were incredible, the story just farfetched enough to be really entertaining.
I was hooked from the moment it started. A lot of fun, and well worth the popcorn and ticket price. I think the boys really liked it, too.
No spoilers, except to say our lady Ms. Jolie doesn’t get nearly enough screen time, nor does she ever even come close to getting nekkid. Shame. I think I’m falling for Jude Law, though, which may be rather hard to explain to my wife.
What a fun movie. We’re driving home and my son says “They’re gonna make another one. Did you see the end?” Heh. Hopefully the next one won’t take six years…
pssst.
I’m halfway through my weekend. Last time I looked, all kids were still alive. Adults? Need sleep, or alcohol, perhaps both. Nobody knows I’m at the computer. I can’t stay long.
My boy scored a goal and at least two assists this morning in soccer.
Carry on.
