Weekenditis

It’s Friday, it’s less than a couple hours to quitting time, and I have the whole weekend ahead of me. Why am I not looking forward to it?

At least one child has already asked to go to “gym-matchsticks” tonite; which is cool: it goes from 7 to 11:30, is cheap, and will let the kids run and jump and be with other kids while supervised. Cool!

But, the baby is acting like she has a head cold / sinus infection / ear infection, so she is little miss crankypants. We may be visiting the clinic tomorrow if she’s any worse.

The weather in the morning is going to be cool – 71 degrees (last nights low was 73, and it’s 85 now, so yes that is cool). This is great – however, I have three kids (one with a possible ear infection) to get to soccer in weather that to them feels downright cold. And if I let them stay up until midnite, getting them up and out of the house will be a bear.

Mom is teaching a class 8 to 5 Saturday, so she’s gone all day – I need to find fun things for the kids to play and do. And squeeze in my chores (laundry, kitchen, lawn) around them.

Sunday morning is church, sunday afternoon I have a soccer game.

Sounds like fun, right? Looking at this post, it should be fun. But I still have this “blah” feeling about it all. Hopefully in all of this I’ll get the pictures taken that I promised last week (before I lost the camera, which has now been found).

And to top it all off, I just found out another Harry Potter character won’t survive the next book and if it’s Hermione somebody is going to get their ass kicked.

Flashback (flashback… flashback…)

Now I’ve got them on the run, and I’m looking for the high score;
So it’s once around the block, And I’ll slide back out the side door.
I’m really cookin’ now, eating everything in sight.
All my money’s gone, so I’ll be back tomorow night.

‘Cause I’ve got Pac-Man fever;
Pac-Man fever.
It’s driving me crazy.
Driving me crazy.
I’ve got Pac-Man fever;
Pac-Man fever.
I’m going out of my mind.
Going out of my mind.

I so heart my local radio station.
