Dear Mom:

I am sorry I peed on the toilet seat when I was little. Repeatedly. I apologize profusely for not working harder on my aim, and for not just lifting the damn seat in the first place.

And yes, paybacks are a bitch. You were right about that, too.

Now please? Make it stop.

What would they say?

Now what would they do if I just sailed away?
Who the hell really compelled me to leave today
Runnin’ low on stories that have made it a ball
What would they do if I made no landfall?

I lived half my life in an eight by five room
Just crusin’ to the sound of the big diesel boom
It’s not close quarters that would make me snap –
It’s just dealing with the daily unadulterated crap

Sail away, for a month at a time
Sail away, I’ve got to restart my mind
And you’ll find me back at it again

yeah, what he said.

Everybody loves you
Everybody’s scared
Everybody hates you
Nobody cares
Everybody’s crying
Everybody’s free
Everybody’s fortune
Just looks like luck to me

What are we so afraid of?
Everybody sleeps alone
In our darkest hour
We all find our own way home

Everybody loves you
Well Jesus told you so
Everybody’s lying
Hell, even Jesus knows
Everybody’s happy
And has a right to be
Everybody’s laughing
I think the joke’s on me
