I try to be good

I try not to bog down with politics here, but I think many of my opinions show through the cracks, anyway.

So today, of course, is a special day. And I’m not nearly creative enough to describe the coronation in all it’s splendor. So I’ll let the wonkette do it instead. Liveblogging has commenced…

11:40AM: Trent Lott reminds us that Americans have been gathering for over 200 years to welcome their new presidents a “peaceful and dignified ceremonies.” And then, he said, “there’s this year, which is a $40 million obscenity of corporate whoredom.”

At least on “Buffy,” the vampires sucked on purpose.

The devil is in the details of ‘Point Pleasant’.

yeah, they pretty much rip it a new one. But in a good way. Here’s the recap:

— The devil’s child always has potential.

— This is not a reality show.

— It has that “O.C.” vibe going for it, where loads of tan and coltish girls wear bikinis too small for them and hordes of boys with flat stomachs and big pecs sit on the beach and chug testosterone. Just add some hip-hop and emo on the soundtrack, and you’re looking at decent ratings.
